The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed regarding the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie SRD and there is no totally functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The service stage created for intervention experiences a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all clients and improve usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
